On Friday, Titans backup punter A.J. Trapasso hit the scoreboard that is suspended over the center of the field at Cowboys Stadium. According to ESPN, the officiating crew did not see the ball hit the board, which caused confusion.

New Rules for Videoboard Interference

Currently, the play is not review able but that may change in the near future according to Mike Pereira, the NFL's vice president of officiating. As of now, if the ball hits the videoboard, the play will be repeated and the clock will be re-set to the time of the original snap a committee member said.

Fisher, who also co-chairs the NFL’s competition committee, said there are a number of punters who are capable of hitting the videoboard without trying. He said this after Jones suggested Trapasso was trying to hit the videoboard on purpose.
